Brazil have sacked manager Dorival Junior following a 4-1 defeat to Argentina in World Cup qualifying. The 62-year-old, who had been in charge since January 2024, won seven, drew six, and lost three of his 16 games in charge. Despite the loss, Brazil remain well-placed to qualify for the 2026 World Cup, sitting fourth in the South American group, having lost five of 14 games. Al-Hilal coach Jorge Jesus is the favourite for the vacant Brazil job, according to Brazilian media.
