Man City's Club World Cup Hideaway: Private Beach & Homely Hotel Await

Manchester City players training

Manchester City reach Club World Cup last 16; Pep Guardiola's side enjoying 'homely feeling' in luxurious Florida base. After a disappointing 2024-25 campaign, City have looked rejuvenated in the Club World Cup, scoring 13 goals in three matches against Moroccan side Wydad AC, UAE team Al-Ain and Serie A giants Juventus. The team, which arrived in Florida on 12 June, has been allowed to let their hair down in their downtime, with the players sharing meals together on the resort's terrace overlooking the sea. City have flown in and quickly out of their matches in Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Orlando, returning to the Boca Raton Resort, a luxurious hotel where their families have been allowed to stay with them. The team's new captain, Bernardo Silva, said the club had chosen a "great hotel" where the team have spent "good time together." In training, Guardiola has allowed his players free rein, with the team enjoying other sports like basketball and table tennis during their downtime. After shuffling both the playing personnel and backroom staff with four new signings, the team has seamlessly integrated into the set-up. If both City and Paris St-Germain advance, it would bring a meeting between former Barcelona team-mates Guardiola and Luis Enrique. The Club World Cup is a clean chapter for City, according to their chief executive officer Ferran Soriano, who reiterated the club's ambition to win the competition. The team faces Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal in the last 16 on Tuesday.
