Manchester City, Premier League champions for the last four seasons, are currently fifth in the table and 22 points behind leaders Liverpool with nine games remaining. City's manager, Pep Guardiola, has stated that his performance this season has been "really poor." Guardiola, who has been a successful manager at City since joining in 2016, has never finished a season lower than third with any club during his managerial career. City will face Bournemouth in the FA Cup quarter-finals on Sunday, aiming to reach the semi-finals for the seventh consecutive season. However, Guardiola admitted that even winning the FA Cup and qualifying for the Champions League would not make up for their failed Premier League title defense.
