Thiago Motta's nine-month tenure at Juventus ended last week with the Italian club sacking him, following heavy defeats in Serie A and exits from the Champions League and Coppa Italia. Despite a successful spell at Bologna, Motta struggled to replicate his progressive style at Juventus. Question marks arise over player recruitment, such as the £42.35m signing of Douglas Luiz from Aston Villa, who started only three of 17 league games. Striker Moise Kean, now scoring 15 goals for Fiorentina, was allowed to leave for a reported £10m. Juventus' issues extend beyond coaching, with management and financial problems also contributing to their struggles. Tudor, a former midfielder and Juventus player, has been appointed as his replacement on an interim basis, tasked with turning the club's fortunes around. A known fixer, Tudor has a reputation for improving teams mid-season, having previously succeeded at Udinese, Hellas Verona, and Lazio.
