Kirby summoned to rejoin Lionesses for showdown against Belgium

Fran Kirby in action for England

England women's football manager Sarina Wiegman has called up Brighton forward Fran Kirby, Arsenal forwards Beth Mead and Chloe Kelly, and Brighton midfielder Maisie Symonds for the upcoming Women's Nations League matches against Belgium next month. Kirby, who is a midfielder in the squad list, missed the February matches due to injury but came on as a substitute in the 0-0 draw with the United States in November. Mead and Kelly, who are also included, bring "quality" according to Wiegman. The squad, which is missing several key players through injury, including Manchester City duo Lauren Hemp and Alex Greenwood, and Bayern Munich midfielder Georgia Stanway, will face Belgium at Ashton Gate on 4 April (20:00 BST kick-off) before travelling to Leuven on 8 April (19:30). The team began their Women's Nations League campaign with a draw in Portugal before beating world champions Spain 1-0 at Wembley last month.
