Howe Recovers, Returns to Newcastle's Bench After Hospital Discharge

Eddie Howe claps to the crowd

Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has returned to work after a brief hospital stay due to pneumonia. He was admitted to the hospital last month and missed three games, including the 4-1 win over Manchester United, a 5-0 thumping of Crystal Palace, and a 4-1 defeat by Aston Villa. In his absence, assistant manager Jason Tindall and fellow coach Graeme Jones took charge of the team. Newcastle currently sits fifth in the Premier League, and will face Ipswich at St James' Park on Saturday. The club has thanked supporters for their well wishes.
