Injury threatens Rashford's return for remainder of season

Aston Villa forward Marcus Rashford looks on

Aston Villa's on-loan striker Marcus Rashford is likely to miss the rest of the 2022-23 Premier League season due to a hamstring injury sustained earlier this month. The injury kept him out of the FA Cup semi-final against Crystal Palace on Saturday. Although there's a slim chance he could return before the season's end, his focus is on recovering in time for England's World Cup qualifier against Andorra on June 8 and a friendly against Senegal on June 11. Rashford will miss Villa's final league game against Manchester United on May 25 due to ineligibility. He was present at the Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn boxing match at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium over the weekend. Rashford has decided not to discuss his future with any clubs until the summer, with his contract at Manchester United running until 2028.
