Leeds United, managed by Daniel Farke, have been promoted back to the Premier League after two seasons in the Championship. The Whites secured the promotion with two games to spare, following Sheffield United's loss at Burnley. In their own game on Monday, Leeds crushed Stoke City 6-0, ensuring promotion barring an unlikely goal difference swing from Burnley. The team will win the title with victories over Bristol City and Plymouth Argyle in their final two matches.
This season, Leeds endured a slow start but bounced back from a 2-0 loss at Sheffield Wednesday with a 2-0 victory over the same opponent. Their only home defeat this season came against Burnley, but their unbeaten run of 17 games after that included a 7-0 win over Cardiff and several comeback victories. Despite a poor run in March, Leeds were able to reclaim the top spot and maintain a five-point lead over Sheffield United heading into the final games.
Daniel Farke is now closing in on a third title at this level, having won two with Norwich. With a strong squad and a successful loan market, Leeds will look to avoid the trend of relegated sides in the upcoming Premier League season.
