Athlete Accuses Blackmailer in Criminal Complaint

Tottenham forward Son Heung-min

South Korean police have reportedly detained a woman and a man in connection with an alleged blackmail plot against Tottenham Hotspur captain Son Heung-min. The woman is said to have approached Son last year, claiming she was carrying his child and demanding money to stay silent. A man reportedly followed up with Son in March, continuing the extortion attempt. Son's agency filed a criminal complaint, stating he is the "clear victim" in this case. The police are currently investigating the matter, and strong legal action will be taken against the perpetrators. Son, who has scored 173 goals in 451 games for Tottenham since 2015, will be in action for the Premier League team as they face Manchester United in the Europa League final on Wednesday.
