Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville has been banned from Nottingham Forest's City Ground for their final Premier League game against Chelsea on Sunday, 22 May, after criticism of the club's owner, Evangelos Marinakis. Neville, a former Manchester United and England defender, was informed by the broadcaster that Forest "would not give me an accreditation or access to the stadium as a co-commentator." The ban comes after Neville's criticism of Marinakis following an animated exchange with manager Nuno Espirito Santo following Leicester City's late goal in a 2-2 draw earlier this month. Foresters later denied the exchange was a confrontation, stating it was due to Marinakis' frustration over injured striker Taiwo Awoniyi playing on. Neville has criticized this decision, stating it is "symptomatic of things that have happened over the last 12 months with the club." The Premier League has stated that accreditation is a club matter. Seventh-placed Forest can qualify for next season's Champions League on Sunday if they beat Chelsea and other results go their way.
