
A 53-year-old man, Paul Doyle, a former Royal Marine and local businessman from West Derby, has been charged with multiple counts of causing and attempting to cause unlawful and malicious grievous bodily harm with intent, unlawful and malicious wounding with intent, and dangerous driving in connection with a car crash during Liverpool's Premier League victory parade. The incident occurred on Water Street at 18:00 BST on Monday, resulting in 79 injuries, including a nine-year-old. The accused will appear at Liverpool Magistrates' Court on Friday. Seven people remain hospitalized, and the investigation is ongoing, with police reviewing a large volume of CCTV and mobile phone footage.
