West Ham United striker Michail Antonio, 35, met the paramedics and hospital staff who saved his life after a near-fatal car crash six months ago. The accident left him with a broken leg, and he has since undergone a long rehabilitation process. In an emotional reunion, he expressed his gratitude to Essex and Herts Air Ambulance paramedics Rob Moon and Dr James Moloney, as well as Essex County Fire and Rescue Service crew members who freed him from his car. Antonio broke his thigh bone in the crash, which occurred while he was on his way home from training in Epping Forest. The paramedics admitted that they recognized Antonio due to a West Ham shirt in his car. In a previous interview, Antonio stated that he will avoid sports cars for the time being following the accident. In addition, he met Trish Burton, a member of the air ambulance's patient and family team, and spoke about how his family may have experienced the incident more than he did. Antonio has been open about his mental health struggles and met with former footballer Clarke Carlisle, who shared his own experiences with alcoholism, depression, and suicide attempts.
