Race to the Premier League Title: Final Day Showdown Awaits

Liverpool's name has been etched on the Premier League trophy (for some reason in a different format to 2019-20)

On the final day of the 2022-23 Premier League season, several teams' European fate remains undecided as five teams battle for three Champions League spots while there are uncertain amounts of slots in the Europa League and possibly the Conference League available. Manchester City, Newcastle United, and Chelsea currently occupy the top five spots, with City and Newcastle guaranteed a Champions League spot with a win or draw, while Chelsea could clinch a spot if they beat Nottingham Forest, who sit fifth. Aston Villa and Forest need other results to go their way to secure a Champions League spot. The battle for sixth place will guarantee at least a Europa League spot, with Brighton and Brentford still hoping to sneak into a Conference League spot. The final day will see key fixtures such as Fulham vs Manchester City, Manchester United vs Aston Villa, Newcastle vs Everton, Nottingham Forest vs Chelsea, Tottenham vs Brighton, and Wolves vs Brentford. Liverpool's Mohamed Salah could break the goal contributions record and win the Golden Glove, while Arsenal's David Raya and Nottingham Forest's Matz Sels are in contention for the most clean sheets. Southampton could set a new record for the most league defeats in a Premier League season if they lose to Arsenal. Tottenham could make history as the lowest finishers in a league to win a European trophy if they finish below 14th. Several players will be making their final appearances for their clubs, including Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold and Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne.
