In a thrilling Champions League semi-final that is already being hailed as one of the greatest in the competition's history, Inter Milan pulled off a dramatic late comeback to defeat Barcelona 7-6 on aggregate and progress to the final in Munich.

With just two minutes of stoppage time remaining in the second leg at the San Siro, Inter trailed 3-2 on the night and were on the brink of elimination. However, 37-year-old centre-back Francesco Acerbi produced a stunning late equalizer, smashing a cross into the roof of the net to level the tie at 6-6 on aggregate.

The match went into extra time, and it was substitute Davide Frattesi who secured Inter's place in the final with a stunning left-footed strike that found the bottom corner. Barcelona had earlier fought back from a 5-3 aggregate deficit to lead 6-5, having also trailed 2-0 and 3-2 in the first leg.
