Liverpool has reached an agreement with Real Madrid to release Trent Alexander-Arnold early from his contract for a fee of 10m euros (£8.4m), allowing the English right-back to join the Spanish club ahead of the Club World Cup next month. Alexander-Arnold, who has been with Liverpool since joining at the age of six and won multiple titles, will sign a six-year deal with a 1bn euro buy-out clause. He is expected to play for Real in their opening Club World Cup group game against Al-Hilal on 18 June. Alexander-Arnold will also join England for their World Cup qualifier against Andorra and friendly against Senegal before his move to Real.
