Chelsea Women clinched their sixth consecutive WSL title with a victory over Manchester United, two games before the season's end. Sonia Bompastor, in her first season as manager, set a new record for the longest unbeaten streak in a single WSL season, going 20 games undefeated. The Blues have now won nine titles, triple that of any other team.
Chelsea's 54 goals in 20 games is their lowest tally since the Covid-disrupted season, with only six of their wins this season coming by a margin of three or more goals. The team has shown resilience, winning eight games by just one goal, and eight points from losing positions - second only to Manchester City.
If Chelsea avoid defeat in their remaining matches against Tottenham and Liverpool, they will become the first team to complete an invincible season twice. They would also set a new record for the highest points total in WSL history.
