Borussia Dortmund have agreed to sign Sunderland's Jobe Bellingham in a deal worth 32m euros (£26.96m) plus 5m euros (£4.2m) in add-ons. The 19-year-old midfielder, who helped Sunderland secure Premier League promotion this season, has been in demand from across Europe but Dortmund, former home of his elder brother Jude, have secured his signature. Bellingham made 43 appearances for Sunderland, scoring four goals across all competitions. Borussia Dortmund finished fourth in the 2024-25 Bundesliga season, securing Champions League football for next season. If the deal is completed by 10 June, Bellingham would be able to play in the upcoming Club World Cup, which takes place in the United States from 14 June to 13 July. Bellingham is set to follow in his brother's footsteps, mirroring Jude's career by moving to Dortmund and winning the Championship's Young Player of the Year award, five years after Jude did. The move may have been facilitated by Borussia Dortmund's UK scout, Daniel Dodds, who worked with the Bellinghams in the Birmingham academy.
