Manchester United can now move on from their pursuit, but face the challenge of finding a new goalscoring solution, with options like Bryan Mbeumo and Jean-Philippe Mateta, both being expensive and uncertain. Everton, Nottingham Forest, and Newcastle also showed interest in Delap, but ultimately lost the race to Chelsea.
