Uefa has delayed a decision on whether Crystal Palace can compete in next season's Europa League due to the Eagles' co-owner, John Textor, also owning French club Lyon, which was demoted to Ligue 2 last week. Textor has agreed to sell his 44% stake in Palace in a bid to help their case. Initially, a decision on Palace's participation was expected on Monday, but with Lyon appealing their demotion, Uefa has opted to wait for the outcome before making a decision. Should Palace secure a spot, they will enter the group phase, scheduled to begin in September. Textor is in the process of selling his stake in Palace to New York Jets owner Woody Johnson.
