The Scottish national football team has called up goalkeepers Ross Doohan and Callan McKenna for Monday's friendly against Liechtenstein due to a goalkeeping crisis following injuries and unavailability of other goalkeepers. Angus Gunn and Robby McCrorie dropped out of the squad after Scotland's 3-1 defeat by Iceland, with Cieran Slicker, who made his debut in the Iceland game, being left out due to his poor performance. Coach Steve Clarke expressed concern over his lack of goalkeeping options and is hopeful that the two newcomers will perform well. Ross Doohan, a 27-year-old free agent and former Celtic youth player, has been training with the team and is set to return to Celtic after leaving Aberdeen. Callan McKenna, an 18-year-old goalkeeper from Bournemouth, has been added to the squad after training with them last week. Clarke is confident that Doohan, with his experience of more than 180 first-team games, will offer a steadier hand in the goal. Slicker, who was at fault for Iceland's second and third goals, will be assessed to determine the extent of his injury.
