Arsenal have reached an agreement to sign Brentford midfielder Christian Norgaard for an initial fee of £10m, with potential add-ons of £5m. The move comes as a potential replacement for Thomas Partey, whose Arsenal contract is set to expire. Norgaard, 31, has emerged as a key player for Brentford since joining from Fiorentina in 2019, making 201 interceptions – the most of any Premier League player since 2021. Former West Ham, Crystal Palace, and Wolves coach Edu Rubio believes Norgaard can be a great addition to Arsenal, offering defensive capabilities and the ability to regain possession effectively. Arsenal are also close to signing Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga and Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi.
