Kane Closes in on Another Career Achievement: When Will His First Trophy Arrive?

Harry Kane celebrates scoring against St Pauli

England captain Harry Kane scored against St Pauli in the Bundesliga on Saturday, becoming the first player to score against all 19 clubs he has faced in the league in Germany. Only Germany's all-time top scorer Miroslav Klose has faced more clubs in the Bundesliga and scored against them all (28). Kane's goal ended a five-game drought and helped Bayern to a 3-2 victory, moving them six points clear at the top of the Bundesliga. Kane has now scored 58 goals in 57 Bundesliga games for Bayern, more than any other player in that time. His scoring prowess means he also has the best minutes-per-goal ratio of any player in Europe's top five leagues to have hit 20 or more goals since the start of last season. If Bayern win the Bundesliga this season, Kane will finally win a trophy in his career, which has so far been trophyless. Kane is 31 years old, so time is against him in his pursuit of ending his long wait for a trophy.
