The French football club Racing Club Strasbourg, situated in Alsace near the German border, has been engulfed in a bitter civil war since being bought by American businessman Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali's consortium, BlueCo, in 2023. Strasbourg, who have the youngest average age in Ligue 1 this season, are dreaming of Europe under Hull City boss Liam Rosenior. However, local fans are furious, claiming the club has lost its identity and become a "Chelsea B team," as they accuse BlueCo of using Strasbourg as a breeding ground for talent at lower transfer fees. The ultras and supporters' groups organize protests at every game, creating a toxic atmosphere. Despite the financial benefits, Strasbourg fans believe BlueCo is a bad solution to the economic problems in French football.
