The Women's Nations League, launched in 2023, is well underway with England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, and the Republic of Ireland all in action. England and the Republic of Ireland are leading their respective groups, while Scotland and Wales are yet to secure a win. The next round of games will take place on 8 April, followed by the final block on 30 May and 3 June.
England started their Group A3 campaign with a draw against Portugal, but have since picked up two wins, including a 5-0 victory over Belgium. Wales, preparing for their first major women's tournament this summer, have lost two out of three games so far.
Scotland, in Group A1, suffered three straight defeats, including a 4-0 loss to Germany. Northern Ireland, in Group B1, fought back from a 2-0 deficit to draw with Romania and are currently second in the table.
The Women's Nations League serves as qualification for the 2025 Women's European Championship and determines the teams' starting positions for the 2027 Women's World Cup qualifiers. The league system offers promotion and relegation between the leagues based on match results.
