Ancelotti Optimistic after Rangers Talk - Will Modric Be Next?

Carlo Ancelotti and David Ancelotti

Rangers are in talks with Davide Ancelotti about the managerial vacancy at Ibrox, and he has expressed interest in the position. Davide held discussions with the club last week and further talks are planned for the coming days. The Italian is currently working under his father, Carlo, at Real Madrid.

Rangers' ongoing takeover has slowed the process, with the current CEO Patrick Stewart and the existing Ibrox board leading the manager search, along with the prospective new owners – an American consortium involving Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises Global Football Group – and sporting director-in-waiting Kevin Thelwell.

Davide previously assisted Carlo at Bayern Munich, Napoli, and Everton. He is now considering Rangers as a potential destination, with Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric among the players who have expressed interest in joining him.

However, Rangers must move quickly to secure Ancelotti's services, as he has other high-level opportunities available to him. He is known for his modern approach, ability to connect with different areas of a club, and desire to leave behind an enduring legacy.
