Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided an update on the health of midfielder Jorginho, who sustained a lung injury during a game against Brentford on 12 April. Jorginho, 33, is recovering well and may return to the pitch before the end of the season, according to Arteta. The Italian midfielder, who joined Arsenal from Chelsea in January 2023, has made 78 appearances for the club. Additionally, forward Kai Havertz is making progress in his recovery from a hamstring injury sustained in February. Havertz is expected to play before the end of the season, which would be a significant boost for Arsenal as they face Paris St-Germain in the Champions League semi-final second leg on Wednesday.
