In a disappointing turn of events, Celtic winger Jota has been ruled out for six to nine months due to a cruciate ligament injury sustained during Saturday's 5-0 win over Dundee United. The Portuguese player, who returned to the Scottish champions in January, had to leave the field on crutches. Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers confirmed the severity of Jota's injury and expressed sympathy for the player. Jota, 26, has made 16 appearances, scoring five goals, since returning to Glasgow. His absence will be felt as Celtic prepares to face city rivals Rangers on Sunday in the Scottish Premiership.
