Tuchel grapples with decision on releasing players for Club World Cup appearance

England manager Thomas Tuchel

England head coach Thomas Tuchel is facing a dilemma over releasing his squad for international duty in June due to the Club World Cup, which 12 players from clubs such as Manchester City, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and Atletico Madrid could be involved in. The FA is set to decide on the issue in future meetings. If players remain with the England squad, Chelsea could be the worst hit, as their players may miss the Club World Cup. The tournament, which begins on 16 June in the USA, also features Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, and Enzo Maresca's side, West Ham United.
