Chelsea have agreed a £60m deal to sign 23-year-old forward Joao Pedro from Brighton, with personal terms and a medical expected to be completed soon. The Brazilian forward, who scored 30 goals and provided 10 assists in 70 matches for Brighton, is expected to be available for Chelsea's Club World Cup quarter-final against Palmeiras on Friday. Joao Pedro will reportedly replace French striker Christopher Nkunku at Chelsea, with the two forwards being similar types of versatile attackers. This transfer follows Chelsea's agreement with Borussia Dortmund to sign English winger Jamie Gittens for £55m.
