Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, 28, has announced he will be leaving the club when his contract expires on Monday. The England international joined Everton in 2016 from Sheffield United for £1.5m and has scored 71 goals in 273 appearances. Calvert-Lewin expressed gratitude for his time at Everton, citing the club's role in shaping him as a player and person. He enjoyed his best season in 2020-21, scoring 16 goals in 33 Premier League games and representing England at the Euros final. Injuries and form issues followed in the subsequent seasons, with Calvert-Lewin starting only half of the 26 matches he played last season. He has 11 England caps and four goals to his name. Calvert-Lewin's decision leaves Everton searching for a new striker before their first season at Bramley-Moore Dock, with Villarreal's Thierno Barry being linked as a potential replacement.
