Chelsea have accepted a £55m bid for Borussia Dortmund's Jamie Gittens, and the 20-year-old English winger is set to undergo a medical at the Premier League club. Gittens, who agreed a seven-year contract with Chelsea earlier in June, was the Blues' primary target to replace Jadon Sancho following his return to Manchester United. Dortmund initially rejected a £42m offer for Gittens on 10 June, but they have now agreed to the increased bid. However, Gittens will not be eligible to play in the ongoing Club World Cup due to his previous participation for Dortmund. He will be Chelsea's fourth summer signing, joining striker Liam Delap, midfielder Dario Essugo, defender Mamadou Sarr, and returning midfielder Andrey Santos. Estevao Willian, 18, will also join Chelsea after his Club World Cup campaign with Palmeiras. Chelsea are now looking to sign a versatile forward, with Brighton's Joao Pedro among their targets. Other forwards on their radar include Eintracht Frankfurt's Hugo Ekitike and West Ham's Mohammed Kudus. They have not ruled out signing an additional defender.
