Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is keen on signing Wolves' left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri to address his side's ongoing problem at the left-back position. City have been without a specialist left-back since Benjamin Mendy's departure in August 2021, with Oleksandr Zinchenko, Joao Cancelo, Josko Gvardiol, and Nico O'Reilly filling the role temporarily. Ait-Nouri, a 23-year-old Algeria international, is Guardiola's top choice, though no agreement has been reached yet. Ait-Nouri is set to play for Algeria in friendlies against Rwanda (5 June) and Sweden (10 June), and City would need to complete the transfer before 10 June to have him available for the Club World Cup group stage.
