Manchester City have agreed to sign Tijjani Reijnders from AC Milan in a summer rebuild, as they look to replace departing midfielders including talisman Kevin de Bruyne. Manager Pep Guardiola is looking to reduce the size of his squad, with a number of players turning or moving towards the wrong side of 30. Reijnders, 27, will provide physicality and running power that was exposed in City's midfield last season. He ended 2024-25 with 10 goals and four assists in Serie A, and his versatility makes him an ideal candidate to contribute to City's possession-based game. While he may not be a direct replacement for De Bruyne, Reijnders has shown the ability to perform well in different roles and has a powerful shot from distance.
