England forwards Raheem Sterling and Jack Grealish will miss out on the Fifa Club World Cup due to their limited playing time with Chelsea and Manchester City, respectively. Sterling spent last season on loan with Arsenal, while Grealish, who has started just seven league games in 2024-25, was expected to be excluded. Manchester City will feature England defender John Stones, despite his thigh injury, but former captain Kyle Walker will not be part of the squad, having spent the second half of last season on loan at AC Milan. Chelsea's 28-man squad excludes a quartet that cost the club about £179m in transfer fees and ended the 2024-25 season out on loan. The Club World Cup, starting on 15 June, will see Chelsea's squad consisting of Robert Sanchez, Marc Cucurella, Tosin Adarabioyo, and Liam Delap, among others, while Manchester City's squad includes Ederson, Ruben Dias, John Stones, and Erling Haaland.
