Wales have named their 23-player squad for the 2025 Women's European Championship, with midfielder Sophie Ingle, who has not played a competitive game this season due to a torn ACL, included. Angharad James will captain the side that includes Seattle Reign teammates Jess Fishlock, Wales' record cap-holder and goalscorer, and defender Lily Woodham. Kayleigh Barton, who ended her playing career at Charlton Athletic earlier in June, is also selected despite her coaching role at Saltdean United Women. Wales, who have qualified for a women's major tournament for the first time, will face holders England, 2022 Euro semi-finalists France, and 2017 champions the Netherlands in the group stage.
