Inter Milan has appointed Cristian Chivu as their new manager, replacing Simone Inzaghi who left after losing the Champions League final to Paris St-Germain. Chivu, a former Inter defender and youth team coach, has signed a contract until 2027. He was appointed by Parma in February, winning three games and securing their Serie A survival. Chivu will take over Inter during the Club World Cup, starting with a match against Monterrey on 17 June. The 44-year-old won three league titles as an Inter player and is bonded to the club.
