Pochettino doubts Spurs' immediate title challenge return.

Mauricio Pochettino

Mauricio Pochettino, current US head coach, has dismissed speculation linking him with the vacant managerial role at Tottenham Hotspur, stating a return is not "realistic" at this moment. His comments come after Tottenham sacked Ange Postecoglou following their Europa League victory, with Pochettino's name being frequently mentioned as a potential replacement. The Argentine, who left Tottenham in 2019, is content with his current position and expressed that any future discussions about a potential return would be evident. Pochettino's US team recently lost 2-1 to Turkey, marking their third consecutive defeat. With the United States hosting the 2026 World Cup, Pochettino has five wins and four losses from nine matches in charge. Meanwhile, Brentford manager Thomas Frank and Fulham coach Marco Silva are among the leading contenders to replace Postecotoglou at Tottenham, while Wales defender Ben Davies has extended his contract with the club until 2026.
