Crystal Palace part-owner John Textor is nearing a deal to sell his 43% stake in the Premier League club to New York Jets owner Woody Johnson for around £190m. This potential sale could be crucial for the Eagles' chances of competing in next season's Europa League, as Uefa is currently investigating whether Textor's multi-club ownership violates their rules due to his stake in French club Lyon, who have also qualified for the Europa League next season. Other interested parties include a Florida-based entertainment giant, a consortium featuring NBA star Jimmy Butler, and investment vehicle Sportsbank. Johnson's estimated £3.39bn fortune and global business reputation may make him the most likely to pass the Premier League's owner's and directors test. Uefa's decision on Palace's Europa League participation is expected by the end of June.
