Manchester United have submitted an improved bid of over £60m for Brentford striker Bryan Mbeumo, following a rejected offer of £45m plus add-ons earlier this month. The 25-year-old Cameroon forward, who scored 20 goals and provided 9 assists last season, is a key target for United as they aim to bolster their squad before pre-season training begins on July 7.

New Tottenham manager Thomas Frank and other Champions League clubs have also shown interest in Mbeumo, who will miss four weeks of the 2025-26 season due to Cameroon's participation in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Meanwhile, the future of United's Alejandro Garnacho is uncertain after he posted an image of himself wearing an Aston Villa shirt with 'Rashford' on social media, following a 'my brother' message from fellow United outcast Marcus Rashford.
