Premier League Player of the Season Nominees Include Three from Liverpool Squad

Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk

Three members of Liverpool's title-winning squad - Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah, and Ryan Gravenberch - have been nominated for the Premier League's player of the season award. Van Dijk, the captain, has played every game this season, contributing to 14 clean sheets. Midfielder Gravenberch, who has only missed one match, is also nominated. Salah leads the league in goal contributions with 46, including 28 goals. Nottingham Forest is the only other club with more than one nominee, with Morgan Gibbs-White and Chris Wood up for the award. Other nominees include Alexander Isak (Arsenal), Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford), Declan Rice (Arsenal), and Thomas Frank (Brentford).

Wolves manager Vitor Pereira has been nominated for the Premier League manager of the year award. After taking over a struggling Wolves side in December, Pereira has led them to safety, winning 10 and drawing two of his 18 matches in charge. He faces competition from Liverpool's Arne Slot, Eddie Howe (Newcastle), Nuno Espirito Santo (Nottingham Forest), and Thomas Frank (Brentford). Both Newcastle and Nottingham Forest remain in the race for Champions League qualification with two matches remaining.
