Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, husband of tennis superstar Serena Williams, has purchased a 10% stake in Women's Super League champions Chelsea. This investment, believed to be worth £20 million, will grant him a seat on the club's board. Ohanian, an avid supporter of women's sports, has already invested in American club Angel City FC and the TGL Golf League. His acquisition puts the value of Chelsea women's team at £200 million, following their sale to a sister company earlier this year to comply with profit and sustainability rules. With this move, Ohanian aims to make Chelsea a favorite WSL team among Americans and drive the club's growth. Chelsea's women's team, led by Aki Mandhar, the first dedicated CEO, is coming off a historic season, winning their sixth consecutive WSL title, setting a new league record of 60 points, and reaching the Women's FA Cup final against Manchester United on Sunday.
