Brentford Announce Keith Andrews as New Head Coach (27 June 2025)

Following Thomas Frank's departure to Tottenham, Brentford have appointed Keith Andrews as their new head coach. Andrews, who spent last season as the club's set-piece coach, makes his management debut after stints on the coaching staff with Sheffield United, MK Dons, and the Republic of Ireland.

Brentford considered external candidates, including Ipswich Town's Kieran McKenna and Francesco Farioli, but opted for continuity with the appointment of Andrews. The Irishman takes charge amid a period of turbulence at Gtech Community Stadium, with goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher joining from Liverpool, and Denmark midfielder Christian Norgaard reportedly close to a move to Arsenal. Last season's top scorer, Bryan Mbeumo, has received an improved £60m bid from Manchester United.
