Brighton have agreed to sign 18-year-old Greek forward Charalampos Kostoulas from Olympiakos for a record-breaking £29.78m, with a potential additional £1.7m. The teenager, who made his first-team debut in 2024, will undergo a medical and sign a five-year contract starting on 1 July. The deal surpasses the previous highest fee received by a Greek club, the £16.6m Wolves paid for Daniel Podence in 2020. Should the add-on be met during Kostoulas' time at Brighton, it would be a record paid for a Greek player. Kostoulas, a Greece Under-21 international, won the UEFA Youth League with Olympiakos in 2024, scoring seven goals in 22 league appearances last season.
