The Scottish Premiership 2025-26 season kicks off this Friday with Kilmarnock hosting Livingston and Motherwell taking on Russell Martin's Rangers. Three more games will follow on Sunday, including defending champions Celtic against St Mirren, who are predicted to have the toughest start according to Opta's league difficulty rating. The first Old Firm meeting of the season will take place on 31 August at noon between Rangers and Celtic, both of whom will have been in European qualifying beforehand. The first Edinburgh derby will be on the first weekend in October, with Hearts hosting Derek McInnes for his first taste of the fixture. The Scottish Premiership fixtures remain subject to change due to television commitments and European football.
