The Scottish Premiership kicks off for the new season with champions Celtic hosting St. Mirren on Sunday, August 3, as they begin the defence of their 13th title in 14 seasons. The opening weekend of fixtures features Kilmarnock versus Livingston on Saturday, August 2, followed by Motherwell hosting Rangers in the evening. Falkirk, back in the top flight after a 15-year absence, host Dundee United on the Sunday, while Dundee face Hibernian. Hearts welcome Aberdeen to Tynecastle on Monday.
Celtic finished last season 17 points clear of second-placed Rangers and have won 13 of the past 14 titles. The first Old Firm derby of the season will take place at Ibrox on August 31. Dundee and Dundee United clash at Dens Park on August 30, while Edinburgh rivals Hearts and Hibs meet on October 4.
The season will conclude with a five-match final run from April 25 to May 17, with no winter break due to increased demands from European competition.
